Rooted Women's Ministry is about relationships and the connection that happens when women realize they are not alone in this journey.
(Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10 "Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their efforts. For if either falls, his companion can lift him up; but pity the one who falls without another to lift him up.")We want to see young women mentored and discipled by women who have gone before them. We want to help older women feel valued, respected, and empowered to enrich younger women who are experiencing new seasons in their lives.
(Titus 2: 3-5 "In the same way, older women are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers. Not slaves to excessive drinking. They are to teach what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands and to love their children, to be self-controlled, pure, workers at home, kind, and in submission to their husbands, so that God's word will not be slandered.")
We want to see women surrounding one another in prayer - whether that is over a job that will move them out of the area, an adoption that has hit another road block, or a lump that the doctors aren't sure about.
(Acts 2:42 "They devoted themselves to the Apostles teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.")
Support, encouragement, discipleship and finding joy in the journey, all while pointing one another back to Christ, is the goal to becoming Rooted.
Colossians 2:6-7 "6 So then, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in him, 7 being rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing with gratitude.")
