Being a kid isn't always easy these days, and we understand the pressures they face. We don't want kids to just know about God. We want them to know their Creator, their Savior and their Lord in a personal and intimate way! We desire to be a spiritual influence reaching children in Garden City, the Great Plains, and the world with the good news of Jesus Christ! We hope to make a difference in the life of each and every child...

What to expect when you arrive:
When you arrive at First Southern Baptist Church we want you to be welcomed with a smiling face! We want your children to feel welcome and happy in our children's ministry. It's also important to us to maintain a safe environment for your children. This requires that we have current information on every child placed in our care. That's why we use a secure check-in system called ChurchTeams.
As an authorized ChurchTeams provider we are able to partner with you, the parents, to maintain accurate contact information, update your child's information, create lists of authorized and restricted guardians, and even upload photos for added security. This secure system provides our children's ministry volunteers with the current information needed to properly care for your child. It also makes our check-in process fast, simple and effective. It's a win-win system!
When arriving at church, please stop by our Child Check-In station with your children. Within seconds we can have identification for your child, authorized guardian identification for you, important health information you've provided us, as well as your child's location while in our care. This check-in system is required for children birth - sixth grade.
For added safety and assurance, we require each of our volunteers who work in the children's department to undergo a background check.

Sunday 9:30am
Birth - Kindergarten: Join us for Sunday School! We have childcare available for birth to age 3, and class just for your preschool age children! Our teachers love to help grow the faith of the hearts of little ones! We hope you will allow us the privilege to serve your kids this Sunday at 9:30a.m. for the Sunday
First - Sixth Grade: Join us for Sunday School! Classes are held for our 1st-6th grade aged children. We love to learn along with these kids as they grow in a relationship with our Lord and Saviour! We hope you will allow us the privilege to serve your kids this Sunday at 9:30a.m. for the Sunday School hour!
Wednesday 6:30pm
Birth-Kindergarten: There is a place for your kiddo to fellowship with children their age in the children's wing.
we use theme-based, age appropriate, Bible-driven character lessons that will immerse your child in a world of solid Biblical teaching that is creative and fun!
Clidcare available for Birth-3 years old
Preschool Classes for 4 year olds and Kindergarteners
